The title of “artist” is something I’m still getting used to.

A career spent in branding and marketing has taught me one thing: passion is a secret sauce possessed by a select few. It’s not an easy thing to find. In fact, I felt like a fraud for years - helping others define what makes them “tick,” when I had no idea how that felt myself.

After a lot of self discovery and a commitment to shed my perfectionism, I found it in painting.

My career has been spent working in creative agencies alongside clients ranging from Boeing’s Space Shuttle Program to Starbucks. In college I majored in romance languages, and ate a lot of cheese products in the process.

Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to stand on the shoulders of giants: designers, brand strategists, and business leaders who have all taught me that output is only as strong as the input.

All of this roundabout training has led me to a masters in translating: not just in the literal sense, but in the form of ideas. As such, my art is a way of synthesizing my own appreciation for the world around me. Finding joy in the little things, which really turn out to be the big things.

In summary, I could label myself many ways: a reader, a sailor, a wife, a mom, an avid dog lover…but most importantly I am a disciple of curiosity.

So there you have me.
It’s nice to meet you.
